Cake + Mint + Chocolate

Heerlijk fris.

Things have changed: first the picture, then the recipe. So you can first wonder where the strange colour has come from, and then you can look in the recipe xd. I know it almost looks chemical, but it's super super delicious. Very fresh.

*I should mention one thing to the word cake. It really is cookiedough, and it is cookie like. But because you make it on a baking plate, you call it cake. It's more like a plate-cookie or anything :D

Weet je al wat het is? / Do you already know what it is? (:

Father's Day: Chocolate Mint Cookies

This was a little experiment for Father's Day. And it turned out more then I had hoped for. It looks awesome and it's delicious! Try it yourself, it's easy.

You need:

Cookies
  • 300 gr flour
  • 150 gr sugar
  • 250 gr butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1,5 tablespoon cacoa
Filling
  • 50 gr butter, melted
  • 75 gr powdered sugar
  • splash of mint syrup
You do:

1. Stir the butter

 2. Sieve the flour

 3. Add the sugar

 4. Then add the egg yolk

5. Add the cocoa. Doesn't it look cool? (:
Oh, please notice what the cookiedough looks like 'cause it should look like this.

6. Bake the cookies for 15 minutes at 175 °C

Then for the filling. I don't have pictures because it's one of those things you should do quickly. And I had to keep my head with it. So, no pictures. But it's easy, so don't worry.

7. Melt the butter
8. Mix the butter with the powdered sugar.
9. Add the mint syrup
10. Put it in the fridge to stiff it a bit up
11. Drop it on a cookie and put another cookie on top.

Easy, wasn't it?

Chocolate x Mint

Heee (:

I found this picture somewhere on my computer. And I really wanted to share it with you. I made this cupcake last summer when I came back from France. In France you can buy green lemonade, tasting like mint. So when I mixed it with some butter and icing sugar, it looked so great. The combination chocolate-mint is also awesome. It doesn't only look great, it also tastes delicious.

So, maybe when I go back to France this summer, I'll buy green lemonade. 'Cause I really would love to make these cupcakes, or in a different style, again!

Saturday Sweetness

Hey!

This was one of these days you intend to do some work, but end eating icecream with friends (: You know, I did want to have some fun today, but it seemed like everyone had to visit their grandparents, play a footballmatch or do something else. So I started learning for my maths-test. But that didn't really make me happy. Actually, it made me kinda frustrated. (You know, algebraic expressions and that kind of stuff >.<)
Soon I ended up cleaning my room, yeaaahh... bo-ring! And I was so happy when I got a textmessage. And from one thing came another. And 30 minutes later I was cycling with my friend Rachel to meet Laura.

It was really fun. And the icecream was delicious. Despite it was very cold outside. Even so cold, that when Rachel and I were cycling back home it rained tiny hailstones...

Oh, do you remember the nailpolish I got yesterday? I polished my nails with it today. I'm totally in love with the colour. So were my friends!

Mintcoloured nailpolish: Rimmel, 835 Bright Back At You

Do you like it as much I do?

A few minutes ago I read an article about a park in Sydney. All the people there live in rockabilly style. Really, the women wear beautiful dresses, sometimes with petticoats. And some of the men have these amazing hairstyle! I wish I could visit this park once.
The photographer Steven Siewart made an report about it. He said about it: "Photographing this secene is like time travalling. Every now and then I put my camera down to drink in the armosphere of postwar Sydney"

And how was your saturday?

Mintmood

Heeii,

Yesterday was absolutely great. To take advantage of our free time, I went shopping with Doris, Mariya and Laura in Haarlem, it's near my town. It's a beautiful city, and there are a lot of shops!

I bought a green kohlpencil. Which I absolutely love. The green colour really makes my eyes stand out. I'm very happy with it.

Hihi, this is my eye (:

Oh, wait, my mother is calling me from downstairs. I think I maybe should run there. What? What is she saying? There's a little parcel for me. I should definitely run now!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh! Yaaayyy, now I'm even happier. The parcel seems to be from Girlscene, the website I wrote an article for. It's a thankyou-note with lots of great gifts
It says: "Thanks again for your tip & article. Love, Girlscene"

Aaaaaaawwwwh! (:

This nailpolish is so perfect. Especially because I bought pants in the same colour!

Pretty pink Bourjois eyeshadow

Pure purple powder!

I must thank Girlscene a thousand time, because they made me so happy with this! It really wasn't necessary as I like writing, but it's lovely!

And somethin I didn't tell about yesterday is that Mariya and I ate icecream. And it was the same colour as the new nailpolish. I really was in a mintmood, I think. Because I bougt mintcoloured pants and earrings.

It's after eight-flavoured <3

And now I'm going to try out a new recipe I recently found in a cook-magazine!
